Marinated Spicy Korean Bulgogi Beef Short Rib, also known as "Galbi" in Korean cuisine, is made with beef short ribs that have been marinated in a sweet and savory sauce consisting of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, scallions, and Korean chili paste called gochujang.
The USDA Choice grade beef short ribs used in this dish are usually cut into thin slices across the bone, which allows the marinade to penetrate the meat and infuse it with flavor. The marinade also helps to tenderize the meat, resulting in juicy and tender beef with a caramelized crust.
