How to cook

Prepare

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius
  • Combine all the dry ingredients with a spatula or stand mixer, if you are using the stand mixer, mix on low medium speed with the beater attachment
  • Add oil and mix until a cohesive dough forms
  • The dough should be able to hold its shape when you try to roll into a ball, if they look crumbly, add 2-3 teaspoons of vegetable oil at one time
  • Weigh the dough to make 10-20g (depending on the size of cookie you want) rounded portion and roll it into a ball with your palms
  • Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and repeat until all the dough has been used up
  • Optional but highly recommend, hold the cookie on your palm and gently press the almond into the dough
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and lightly brush the top of the cookie with the egg yolk

Start baking

  • Bake at 180C for 15-20 minutes or until cookies are slightly brown

Assemble & serve

  • Let it cool and enjoy
