Iwate Furusato Hitomebore, also known as Furusato-mai, is supplied by JA Iwate Furusato Agricultural Cooperative Association (Hereinafter JA Iwate). It is highly valued not only for its taste, but also for its safety and environmental friendliness. Hitomebore is a crossbred rice having Koshihikari as a mother, and Hatsuboshi as a father. This glossy rice also has a name which means Love at first sight, and is currently the second largest production after Koshihikari in Japan.

Directions: 1. Wash rice quickly with full water by hand, and change water right after washing. Rinse and discard water 3~4 times until it gets clear. 2. Pour the amount water as per a rice cooker and also can be adjusted on your preference. 3. Soak rice in water for one hour. Soaking time may be longer in cold water. 4. Switch on a rice cooker. 5. Keep a rice cooker for 15 minutes with a lid on.
